Tim Weaver Letters

Sometimes your posts border on the asinine. No wait...not just sometimes.

It looks like Tim Weaver made up the part about pointing a gun at people. Look at the
original post and tell me where it says anything about that. It doesn't!

I suspect Tim Weaver just wants to insult people and he will use any reason to do that. Including making up stuff!

Of course Tim Weaver deleted most of the original email so a person reading his email won't know that he is making up stuff. Which is why I included the original email on this web page.

When does the 2nd Amendment cover pointing a gun at someone absent a deadly threat?

Point a gun at a cop...ANY gun...and expect to get shot.

Sometimes your posts border on the asinine. No wait...not just sometimes.

Declare Your Independence with Ernest Hancock

According to Ernest Hancock's web site Mike Ross and John Wilde were on Ernie's June 23, 2003 radio shot to talk about Mike Ross's lawsuit suing Tempe Police officers James Jandreau and Sgt. Robert Mitchel for false arrest and various other civil rights violations.

Mike Ross was riding his bicycle along the Grand Canal in Tempe he was chased by a loose dog.

When Mike Ross asked Tempe police officer James Jandreau who was parked along the canal to report the loose dog to animal control, James Jandreau decided that he had to verify that Mike Ross was not a criminal before even thinking about reporting the loose dog.

Mike Ross told Tempe police officer James Jandreau that he was taking the 5th Amendment and was going to refuse to answer all of James Jandreau's questions and also refused to tell James Jandreau his name.

Mike Ross was then falsely arrested by Tempe police officers James Jandreau and Sgt. Robert Mitchel who held him for about two hours and attempted to force Mike Ross to tell them his name.

John Wilde wrote up the lawsuit which was filed in Federal Court suing the cops for Title 42 §1983 civil rights violations.

Mike Ross and John Wilde later on Ernest Hancock's radio show and talked about the lawsuit.

Mike Ross later ended losing the lawsuit, not because it lacked merit, but because 1) he is not a lawyer and doesn't understand the legal system and 2) because the system is stacked toward the government and police who run the system.

Mike Ross was very surprised when he later saw on Ernie Hancock's web page that "the city settled his civil suit for some cash".

That is an out right lie. Mike Ross lost the lawsuit and didn't even get a penny out of it. (Although he certainly enjoyed jerking those crooked cops around)

Mike Ross still wonders how this lie got on Ernie's web page.

Ernie never contacted Mike Ross and asked him the status of the lawsuit.

Did Ernie Hancock make up the lie?

Did Tim Weaver who we were told was Ernie's webmaster at the time make up the lie?

Mike Ross doesn't know.

We also wonder if they did make up lies about little stuff like this, will they also make up even bigger lies for the stuff that really matters?

Here is a list of the shows on Ernies site for 2003. That way if he changes anything we can verify it.

Tim Weaver replied to this email on December 18, 2010 11:12 AM with the this email which is at the top of this page.

When does the 2nd Amendment cover pointing a gun at someone absent a deadly threat?
No where in this email does it say anything even remotely close to that!

The email contains an article that says the Phoenix Police shot a teenager simply because he was carrying an airsoft BB gun.

I guess this means cops assume any civilian with a gun is a criminal. And of course that our 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms is null and void!

Airsoft guns may lead to tragedy when mistaken for real weapons

by William Hermann - Dec. 18, 2010 12:00 AM

The Arizona Republic

Phoenix police in recent months have responded to an increased number of calls related to suspicious people walking and running through neighborhoods, parks and desert-wash areas with assault rifles in hand.

"These guns are turning out to be airsoft guns, which are much like BB guns used to be, and shoot a plastic pellet," police spokesman Sgt. Steve Martos said. "But our officers see what looks like a real rifle or shotgun or pistol. It's a situation that is very dangerous and could result in a tragedy."

It already very nearly has.

About two years ago, a 16-year-old Phoenix boy with an airsoft gun was shot by police who assumed he was carrying a real weapon. The boy survived, but Martos says young people playing with airsoft guns "can put our officers in an impossible situation."

Phoenix City Councilwoman Thelda Williams said she is working with police to designate desert areas where airsoft enthusiasts can safely play.

"I have grandsons who do that (airsoft) thing, and I'm afraid for them and everyone involved," she said. "We're working with the parks department so we can designate some washes, maybe have then marked with cones, so we have safe places."

John Pehrson, who sells about 100 airsoft weapons a month at The Command Post, a Phoenix store catering to paintball and airsoft enthusiasts, said "extreme realism is a part of the attraction" of the guns.

He said all airsoft guns come with a red tip that is supposed to show they are not real weapons.

"I tell my customers they should leave the red tips on, but I can't make them do it and they often take them off," Pehrson said. "And I advise them to go to a paintball or airsoft arena, of which there are several."

"But you can't always make people do the safe thing," Pehrson said.
